About Lynde Young

Lynde Young Over the years I collected a programming degree, architectural drafting degree and have worked in advertising and as a layout artist for billboards and print media. I have taken various art courses since I was 8 years old, but did not graduate until 5 days before my 55th birthday in 2007 with a BFA, Cum Laude, from Valdosta State University, Valdosta GA. My focus studies were painting, sculpture and art history.

My current body of work primarily consists of digitally manipulated photographs and paper /mixed media 2-d and 3-d constructs. I have a fascination with faux finishes and fooling the eye of the beholder as to a medias actual content. Paper that looks like carved wood, painted surfaces that look like metal and stone, digital paintings that look like hand painted water media and textured press prints.
